Im Sägemehl ist mein erstes filmisches Porträt eines Spitzensportlers.

Im Sägemehl is my first cinematic portrait of an elite athlete.

Der Film taucht in die Welt des Schwingens ein und macht den Menschen dahinter in wenigen Minuten greifbar, ohne den ästhetischen Anspruch aufzugeben.

Gedreht haben wir an zwei Tagen, die Postproduktion dauerte rund zwei Monate. Zum ersten Mal habe ich dabei Prozesse abgegeben, mit einer Crew gearbeitet und mein Netzwerk aktiviert. Genau das machte das Projekt für mich so wertvoll.

The film dives into the world of Schwingen — Swiss wrestling — and makes the person behind the sport tangible in just a few minutes, without giving up its aesthetic ambition.

We shot over two days, and post-production took around two months. For the first time, I handed over parts of the process, worked with a crew and activated my network. That is exactly what made this project so valuable to me.
